| Deutsche Schule Toronto intends to fill a
part time contractual teaching position as a Music teacher for elementary school as well as for
our intermediate grades 5 to 8 (from September 7th 2010 through June 24th, 2011).
The position includes 4 school periods per week, approximately two or three days (plus potentially one
period for the school orchestra/choir).
The assignment includes the following:
- teaching Music lessons (combined grades 1+2, grades 3+4, grades 5+6, grades 7+8)
- conducting the school orchestra/choir
- attending school events with the orchestra/choir and providing musical contributions to such events.
Applicants should have the following qualifications:
- good command of the English language (German is a plus)
- experience in teaching music and conducting a school orchestra/choir
- team work skills
- willingness to help out in other areas of the school
